How the EMG Program Works
The organization collects all of the relevant video source material that is required to create their special channel or program. This includes editorial and advertising content and any third party advertising secured for broadcast on the channel or in the program.
EthnoIPtv experts will assist in aggregating their content, making recommendations regarding quality and presentation. EthnoIPtv can also assist customers in locating and retaining third parties who can provide expertise and support for producing new content, repurposing existing content, acquiring content that has already been produced, developing channel and program strategies and designs, working with advertisers, and so on.
Aggregated content can be in virtually any analog or digital form, including BetaSP, DVDs, DigiBeta, MPEG4 files, Flash video files, Windows Media files, and so on. However, the best output quality generally will result from high-resolution, digital source material. Grainy, blurry or muted source content-such as from VHS tapes, heavily compressed digital files, or down-generation originals will result in a grainy, blurry and muted end user EthnoIPtv video experience and must be avoided.
The organization will relocate the source content from their possession and any third party locations to EthnoIPtv's operational facility. EthnoIPtv will coordinate all aspects of the delivery including what will be transferred, when it will be available, and the method(s) for effecting transport, e.g., through FTP download of digital content or physical delivery of tapes or DVDs.
EthnoIPtv brings all of the channel or program content into the EthnoIPtv system. Most often, this will involve EthnoIPtv transcoding all of the source materials from their original form (such as MPEG4 or DigiBeta) into Flash video files, thereby creating a standardized database of content for subsequent transmission. At the same time, EthnoIPtv permanently affixes additional information to each transcoded file that is essential to the effective operation of the channel or program, such as meta tags and automated playback instructions.
EthnoIPtv consolidates all of channel or program components into a single, graphical user interface (Web page). EthnoIPtv custom builds each client's Web interface to ensure brand integrity and intrusiveness, strategic alignment to communications goals, positive end user experience, and seamless integration of all site functionality (including video content and collateral material such as links to other web content or back office systems). EthnoIPtv develops the site with a clear understanding of communication goals and intended presentation strategy (i.e., multicast, VOD or "PUSH").
EthnoIPtv makes available the channel or program to millions of Internet users worldwide through access to COMTek's award-winning, hybrid network. In addition, EthnoIPtv builds out play lists and catalogs according to customer goals; monitors outgoing and incoming content for reliability and performance; appropriately inserts advertising, sponsorship and interstitial material; manages all server requirements and operation; tracks use and access; and archives information for subsequent analysis and action.
